๐Ÿข Dubai Skyrockets into Crypto Era with World's First Bitcoin Tower!

Dubai is all set to welcome the world's first-ever 'Bitcoin Tower', a brainchild of developer Salvatore Leggiero. This innovative 40-story skyscraper, set for launch at the upcoming COP28 meeting, symbolizes the convergence of real estate and digital assets. Not only does it encapsulate cutting-edge technologies like blockchain and AI, but it also emphasizes material sustainability and zero CO2 usage. The cherry on top? Its hotel chain will offer NFTs to guests who stake cryptocurrencies, making it the first to return guest payments with interest.

๐Ÿ’ฐ More Emerging Markets Are Turning to Crypto

Amid currency turmoil and political instability, emerging markets like Pakistan ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฐ, Nigeria ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ, and Turkey ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท are increasingly turning to cryptocurrencies as a hedge. Despite governmental bans and regulation pressures, populations are finding refuge in the decentralized crypto assets to protect against financial crises. The rupee in Pakistan, facing over 20% depreciation against the US dollar, has witnessed residents converting their salaries into stablecoins to prevent further financial erosion. Meanwhile, crypto activity in Turkey spiked significantly in response to its currency hitting record lows.

๐Ÿ’ฅ Pentagon 'Explosion' Hoax Jolts Market!

AI continues to demonstrate its potential for mischief, as evidenced by a recent incident involving a doctored image of an alleged Pentagon explosion. This image, disseminated by a faux 'Bloomberg Feed' Twitter account, caused temporary unease, even triggering a minor dip in the S&P 500 by 0.26%.

โœ‰๏ธ Mailchain Now Supports .bnb and .arb Web3 Domains

Mailchain, a leading player in Web3 communication, has taken a giant leap by launching support for Arbitrum (.arb) and Binance Smart Chain (.bnb) Web3 domains. Mailchain's integration with SPACE ID's domain service now allows users to use their .arb and .bnb domains for encrypted Web3 email exchanges, strengthening the privacy and autonomy within the Web3 sphere.

๐Ÿ“š Market analysis of the day

Even amid recent price corrections, Bitcoin's (BTC) outlook remains optimistic for three main reasons.

  • We're currently in the recovery phase of on-chain cycle indicators such as MVRV, NUPL, Fuel Multiple, and SOPR Ratio, hinting at a potential future uptrend.

  • Despite short-term fluctuations, BTC's intrinsic value is bolstering, driven by rising hashrates and difficulty metrics, indicating enduring growth.

  • With BTC's current price at $26.8K aligning with the 1M to 3M Realized Price - UTXO Age Bands, this historical support line could once again cushion price corrections. Should BTC dip below $26.8K, it's worth noting the ongoing growth in its intrinsic value โ€“ making such corrections ideal buy opportunities.

๐Ÿ’ก What is a Crypto Hedge Fund?

Just as in traditional finance, cryptocurrency hedge funds pool investor capital to fund diverse blockchain projects, such as equity investments, early-stage tokens, and OTC deals. The funds, guided by managers with deep expertise in market trends and attractive deal spotting, aim to grow their net asset value (NAV). Typically, these funds have a minimum investment amount ranging from $100,000 to $1 million, though it can vary. Crucial to understanding crypto funds is their fee structure. Common fees include

  • Management Fee: A fee charged to investors to cover operational costs, typically a percentage of the fund's Assets Under Management (AUM) charged annually or quarterly.

  • Performance Fee: A fee charged to investors when the fund's returns exceed a pre-defined hurdle rate, encouraging the fund manager to deliver superior performance.

  • Hurdle Rate: The minimum rate of return a fund must achieve before the fund manager can begin collecting performance fees. For example, if the hurdle rate is 10%, performance fees are only charged once the fund achieves a return of 10% or more.

Some of the popular funds are Grayscale Investments, Multicoin Capital, Pantera Capita, Polychain Capital etc.
